Sašo Matas

Sašo Matas is working in the field of public procurement for more than 20 years. He has been coordinating several groups on policy of public procurement, green public procurement, digitalization and professionalization of public procurement and was in 2021, during Slovenian presidency of the Council of the EU, presiding the Working Group for Public Procurement. By profession he is lawyer and he is currently working as general director of Public Procurement Directorate within Ministry of Public Administration. If he is not tackling the endless challenges of public procurement, he spends time with his family and mountain biking.
