Since June 2001, she has been performing her duties as the executive director of ZELS, actively involved in the preparation of legislation that lays the foundations for today's decentralization of responsibilities and finances. She particularly emphasizes her knowledge in the field of fiscal decentralization. ZELS also established itself on the international scene during this period, securing its membership in CEMR – Council of European Municipalities and Regions, NALAS and ALDA. She improved her skills in the field of local and organizational management by participating in study programs in Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, USA. She is the co-author of the guidebooks “Me and my municipality” and “Guide through the competencies for newly elected mayors and members of municipal councils”. Ms. Perisic was a member of the policy recommendation teams for the implementation of the E-building permit project in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Albania and participated in the preparation of the roadmaps for Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, funded by GIZORF. She is a member of the counselling and governing bodies of many domestic and international organizations. The accumulated expert knowledge and experience of 20 years of work in the field of local self-government allows her to be a visiting professor for local self-government for students and master's students at the Faculty of Law at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She started her career in the production department of MZT Pumpi AD Skopje as an engineer, assistant project manager, commercial and project engineer, gaining experience in trade promotion, commercial management, as well as extensive experience in administration, accounting and organizational management. Works to supervise the production of pumps and supply equipment for various construction projects, including the Lisice and Babuna dams. She is part of the first team in the country for the construction and use of a butterfly valve and turbine. She graduated from the Department of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Automatic Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She speaks English.
