Denis Turkanović

Assistant Minister for Information Society in the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska

Denis Turkanović is the Assistant Minister for Information Society at the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Informational Society of the Republic of Srpska. Over the course of his career, Denis specialized in areas of software development, e-government, financial analysis and public policy making, and he is (co-)author of numerous publications of professional and scientific papers in national and international journals. Turkanović was participating and managing the implementation of several scientific and professional projects, including IT projects focused on the development of complex and comprehensive software solutions, and e-services. His efforts in the rich professional and academic career awarded him with multiple awards, such as receiving a Special Recognition Award for Adaptive Reuse and Replicability of Good Practices as the result of successful implementation of the "e-Baby" project, which was awarded by ReSPA and OECD/SIGMA. Denis is also a member of permanent working bodies of Republic of Srpska/Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Union, along with international organizations through which the process of digital transformation, hence e-Government development, digital identities management and information security, of the Republic of Srpska is led and operated. As a student of generation at the Faculty of Economics, Turkanović was the winner of the "Golden Plaque" of the University of Banja Luka due to his outstanding academic accomplishments, followed by completing his Master's Degree studies at the American International University Richmond, in London, United Kingdom accompanied by the "Magna Cum Laude" award.
