Amira Omanović is an economic expert with professional experience in local economic development policies, good governance, capacity building and regional cooperation. She graduated Financial Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo. Over the last 22 years she has been engaged in development cooperation through the design and implementation of complex development projects for the modernization of higher education, improvement of public governance processes, promotion of sustainable economic development on regional, national and local level as well as fostering cooperation between public, private and civil sector. As of 2013 she is working for GIZ Open Regional Fund for SEE – Modernization of Municipal Services as Deputy Fund Manager being responsible for the overall administrative and financial management of the ORF MMS and a Senior Project Manager where she has managed and contributed to a number of measures and projects involving innovative and digital solutions for improvement of employment conditions, municipal services and development.
